Pan, Isle of Wight

The Pan development was a competition-winning entry for the redevelopment of the existing Pan Estate. The scheme is in three phases with a build programme of eleven years and includes 1009 homes with 3.4ha of open space and woodland walkways.

A new village square, community health facilities, children’s outdoor play facilities, improved pedestrian routes and a tree-lined avenue are part of the vision for an attractive and sustainable community. A bespoke approach to design avoids the use of standardised units and sets the standard for quality living.

The development sets out to achieve environmental goals, including meeting the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 . Community participation and engagement are integral to the development philosophy and HGP has worked in close collaboration with residents, the Council and Challenge Housing Association.
