Shell Filling Rooms 1880-1915 Priddy's Hard, Gosport
The site was formed in the late C19 to provide protected shell filling and related facilities for the Army. Eight buildings existed on the site when purchased by the client. However all of them were found to be heavily contaminated with explosives and they have had to be demolished. New residential units on the same footprint have been designed in a form relating to the original buildings They are now under construction. The brick-faced concrete blast walls have been retained.
